Bottom Line
What we loved
- Complimentary [24-hour] airport shuttle
- The staff was friendly, from the front desk to the restaurant staff, and everyone was courteous & attentive. Debbie made our omelets during breakfast & was very engaging.
- The room has a Keurig machine and Chromecast-enabled television.
- The room has a view, into the Atrium.
- Modern room decor with hardwood-looking floors & wall art.
- Spacious gym with 6 treadmills, 1 Stairmaster, free weights, and available fitness classes via TV.
- Fast wifi (94 Mbps), no issues taking Zoom calls from the room.
- Plenty of charging outlets and an available wireless charging clock near the bed.
- The room has three large drawers and plenty of storage space for an extended stay.
- The hotel restaurant offered good food at reasonable prices.
- YouTube worked on in-room television (API issues at Hyatt hotels)
What we did not like
- When we entered, we saw trash under the bed and dust in the corners.
- While the hotel seemed renovated, there was visible wear & tear in the room. Likely due to the airport hotel's high traffic.
- After getting off the shuttle, the small lobby felt rather warm. The front desk staff has small portable fans near them, likely to combat the heat.
- Rooms are not soundproofed you can hear entire conversations from the hallways.
- Small, old, creaky elevators. Slow during morning check-outs.
- Confusion from the front desk and restaurant staff around included breakfast. Spoke with 2 front desk agents and 3 restaurant staff and received varying, conflicting answers.
- The bathroom is small, two adults cannot be in there at once.
Verdict
After the Grand Hyatt SFO, the Seattle Airport Marriott is the nicest airport hotel we've stayed in. With a complimentary shuttle, modern rooms, and great staff, we would stay here again when connecting through Seattle.
We paid $541.75 for a two-night “Stay for Breakfast” rate, which was $800 the week of check-in. Rates here range from $160 to $664 per night.
Note: The hotel has 9 floors in two "towers". Atrium-facing rooms will be on floors 3,4 or 5.
