Grand Hyatt At SFO Hotel Review
Bottom Line
What we loved
- Attached to airport (quick Airtrain).
- Spacious room, comfortable bed.
- Spacious bathroom with soaker tub & shower.
- Large 1st-floor gym.
What we did not like
- An odd number of rooms don't face the runway.
- The room service menu lacks simple items.
- Barn door bathroom (sans lock).
Verdict
After staying at Hyatt Regency San Fran and San Fran Airport Marriott Waterfront, we spent one night at the newly opened Grand Hyatt San Fran.
They say don't judge a book by its cover, and I judge hotel rooms by their (sometimes, lack of) coffee machine. The Nespresso in this double queen gets high marks, along with the double-walled Bodum glasses.
Redeeming 20k Hyatt points felt astronomical as that's the same redemption needed for one night at the all-inclusive Hyatt Cabo, and 8k more than the nearby Hyatt Regency SFO.
Verdict: well worth the 20k. This is my new go-to SFO hotel.
