The Bottom Line
What We Loved
- Location: The hotel is within walking distance of the Greyhound station, which made for an easier commute from Detroit. There is a grocery store across the street, as well as a CVS and several restaurants on the same block. Good homebase for a few days.
- The front desk staff was phenomenal. Our suite was not ready at check-in, and the staff provided proactive updates regarding the wait. They also provided 2 drink coupons for the attached restaurant as a consolation for the delay.

- No smart TV functionality
The Verdict
We found the Kimpton Schofield Hotel, had an excellent location & the front desk staff was phenomenal. Our spacious suite with a full kitchen was exactly what we needed. However, the bed comfort was just adequate, & we felt the value for money wasn't quite there. The lack of smart TV functionality was a minor letdown.
