What we loved
While the room is small, the space is functional & cozy.
Comfy bed with firm pillows. We got a great night's sleep on the Queen bed.
Delicious breakfast a the Rooftop at STK.
What we did not like
The room faced the Salvation Army & there was trash & homeless people on the street.
The Keurig had not been cleaned in a while: we did a full wipe down & several hot water rinses.
We noticed earplugs in the room, noting there may be some street noise.
Verdict
Used a Hyatt Free Night to stay at the Andaz San Diego which is a nice hotel in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter. While the queen room was small, it was quite functional & used the space well. Would definitely stay here again for the comfy bed & delicious breakfasts.
