The Bottom Line
What We Loved
- Great location in the heart of Seattle close to the convention center. It is 25 minute walk to Pike Place Market, so the location may not be good for some.
- Fast responses to text inquiries.
- Front desk staff was pleasant, the true stand out were the staff at the market on the 2nd floor who were very personable over multiple interactions during out stay.
- 8th floor lounge (630 - 9pm) for light snacks & two coffee machines.
- Quiet, even though Microsoft was having an event.
- Chromecast functionality worked well in both the living room & bedroom.
- Useable fridge for storing personal items.
- The bathroom had a double vanity, shower & tub. There was no water closet, with the toilet directly in front of the shower which might be an issue for some.
- Globalist breakfast benefit at the Market was $26 per person. Was able to get 3 entrees & 2 coffees for under $50. Best item was the croissant sandwich add bacon.
- Wifi worked great, no issues with Zoom calls.
- Amazing views from multiple sides of the suite.
- Complimentary (globalist) upgrade to the executive suite.
What We Didn't Like
- Robes were provided however there were no slippers.
- Couch was a bit worn & not very comfortable to sit in.
- Room was $385 per night (plus taxes & fees) which is pricey for a standard Seattle room.
- $25 nightly resort fee here (waived for globalist) which includes a $15 per night market credit: https://www.hyatt.com/hyatt-regency/en-US/sears-hyatt-regency-seattle/policies
The Verdict
The Hyatt Regency Seattle offers a compelling experience with its prime location, excellent service, and comfortable amenities. While the price point may be high for some, the convenient access to the convention center, responsive staff, and perks like the 8th-floor lounge and Chromecast functionality enhance the stay. Globalist members will find significant value in the complimentary upgrade, breakfast benefit, and waived resort fee. Though minor drawbacks exist, such as the lack of slippers and a slightly worn couch, the stunning views and overall comfort make this hotel a strong contender for travelers seeking a well-located and enjoyable Seattle experience.
