The Bottom Line
What We Loved
- Very personable staff: from Austin at check-in, to Laticia in housekeeping to Kristell in the Sierra Cafe.
- Great location on Lake Tahoe, beach access across the street.
- Great location in Incline Village, tons of nearby restaurants & shops. Austin's across the street was delicious.
- Included in the $40 (plus tax) daily resort fee are daily outdoor activities, including hikes & snowshoeing.
- Welcome s'mores kit & drink amenities were nice.
- Decent-sized gym & heated pool.
What We Didn't Like
- Room walls are thin, able to hear hallway conversations.
- With prices of up to $1k a night for standard rooms, expected better quality in-room amenities.
- Daily resort fee of $40 + tax and $26 daily self-parking. Note these fees were waived under the Work From Hyatt program (& for Hyatt Globalist).
The Verdict
Our go-to Incline Village hotel. Great location walking distance to Lake Tahoe & plenty of restaurants. The staff is wonderful & the resort fee provides an outdoor adventure program, which is wonderful.

We've stayed twice at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. Once for five (5) nights in February 2021 under their "Work From Hyatt Program" and again for two (2) nights in May 2021.
Under the Work From Home Program, we got 2 connecting rooms, daily breakfast, free parking, and waived resort fees, which are Globalist benefits. The standard King room (1119) was small, however, having the "free" connecting double room (1121) was nice to spread out. Daily breakfast in Sierra Cafe was delicious, we tried many of the dishes, our favorite was the pumpkin pancakes & the fruit plate.
Note: Odd number rooms face the pool, while even numbers face the parking lot. This hotel has 12 floors & we stayed on the 11th floor & had no issues with elevator wait times.
The Family Room (834) was quiet, nice & spacious, located at the end of the 8th-floor hallway with views of the parking lot.
