The Bottom Line

What We Loved

  • Hotel has a free airport shuttle.
  • Breakfast (comped for Globalist) at the Harborside Grill was very good.
  • Hotel is close to the MBTA Water Ferry dock & the 66 bus stop.
  • Gym has a decent size gym with a view of the harbor.

What We Didn't Like

  • Airport shuttle was hard to locate. Called the front desk for 20 minutes with no answer.
  • Check in was short, while my Globalist status was acknowledged there was no information provided about the hotel, breakfast or other amenities.
  • Hotel is showing it's age; in need of a renovation.
  • While we did not hear any airplane noise we could hear our neighbors phone conversations.
  • On the 2nd day 2 of the 3 elevators had issues and did not move after selecting the lobby. Someone else said the day before the 3rd elevator was doing the same thing & would not go below the 6th floor.
  • Airport hotel that is not in the walkable vicinity of anything.
  • Morning of check-in, Junior suites & the presidential suite were available yet Globalist upgrade was only to a Double Bay with Harbor View.

The Verdict

This was not my first option for a 2-night stay in Boston, however I had two free night awards to burn & the neighbouring Hyatt Regency Boston hovered around $400 per night. With a free hotel airport shuttle, it is just fine for a quick trip. On longer stays, I would stay elsewhere for more perks.

Helpful Tip

Use the MBTA water ferry to get the downtown area (faster) than Uber/public transportation.
