The Bottom Line

What We Loved

  • Staff is friendly & a welcome amenity was provided upon check-in.
  • Close to Six Flags.
  • The hotel offers complimentary breakfast.
  • Has an outdoor pool.

What We Didn't Like

  • Internet is slow (5 mbps).
  • Both ice machines (3rd & 5th floor) were inoperable, we asked for ice at the front desk.
  • Hotel is located in an industrial part of town, behind the interstate and there is not much within walking distance: you will need a car.
  • Elevator jolts between floors which is concerning.
  • Keycard not needed to access room floors, a security concern.
  • Starting to show age & should be refreshed soon.
  • The wall AC unit is loud & has dust in the vent, a cleanliness issue.

The Verdict

Built in 1996 and renovated in 2014, the Hyatt Place Arlington is a good 2-night (max) base for those going to Six Flags or AT&T Stadium. In the future, even with our 2-night stay costing a total of $250, I would stay elsewhere as there is not much food/activities available in the area & the hotel was just okay.
