The Bottom Line

What We Loved

  • Great location close to Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
  • Studio room is spacious with large spacious bathroom.
  • The hotel has a large gym along with coin-operated laundry with 2 washers & 2 dryers.
  • Staff is friendly & complimentary breakfast is available.
  • The hotel has 4 elevators that work efficiently. After the Fever game, there was a line & a bit of wait, which is to be expected.
  • Hotel has a [small above-ground indoor] pool.

What We Didn't Like

  • A half bottle of Dr Pepper was in the fridge when we checked in, a cleanliness issue.
  • There were several homeless folks in the park near the transit center & police station on the walk to Whole Foods, a possible safety issue.
  • Street noise can be heard from the 6th floor room, might be bothersome to some especially when events are happening.
  • Valet parking is $43 per night.
  • Shower water pressure is low & Internet is slow (9 mbps).
  • 3 days after checking out the stay had not posted to my Hyatt account & needed to be manually requested.

The Verdict

We were in town for a Fever WNBA game & the Hyatt House is located directly across the street, which is a huge plus. We paid $380 for our 2-night stay, and with a spacious studio wth a kitchenette, this is a great base to attend an event at Gainbridge. If doing other activities outside the area, I would stay somewhere else.
