The Bottom Line

What We Loved

  • Great location in Brickell, Miami. A quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance to the shops at Mary Brickell, which include a Publix grocery store.
  • Fast wifi (55mbps), no issue with Zoom calls.
  • Spacious suite with comfortable bed, sofa, desk, fridge, coffee pot & balcony. The room had several windows which allowed plenty of light in during the day.
  • Spacious bathroom, with one sink & large shower; wished the room had a tub.
  • On property restaurant (Caña Restaurant) had delicious food & drinks.
  • Great views (albeit in between two residential towers) of Biscayne Bay.
  • The staff was amazing, especially the staff in the Caña restaurant.

What We Didn't Like

  • The gym was in a windowless space & had limited equipment: three treadmills, one bike & a few free weights, and kettlebells.
  • COVID protocol was not being followed by staff or patrons. Hand sanitizers throughout the hotel were mainly empty.
  • There were no robes available in the room.

The Verdict

Booked this room via a travel agent, for $249/night, to test out Hyatt Privé, along with my Globalist status. Under Hyatt Privé our stay came with a complimentary upgrade to a King Bed Junior Suite, $100 credit & welcome gift.

With a great location in residential Brickell and a great staff, I would definitely stay here again especially if the rate is under $200/night.
