The Bottom Line

What We Loved

  • Close to Harrisburg Airport (MDT), with a shopping plaza & restaurants across the street.
  • Executive King Room was spacious & kitchenette was equipped with a cold mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee machine & sink.

What We Didn't Like

  • The staff was lackluster. The front desk attendant was short in responses & not attentive. I called prior to arrival to inquire if I would be able to check in early (at noon). The person on the phone said it would not be a problem. When I arrived & stated I wished to check in the front desk person stated rudely "Check-in is at 3 pm". I informed her that I had called in & was told I could check in early. With a sigh & brief typing on the computer, she stated "Oh, looks like your room is ready". Walking through the hallways we were not acknowledged by the staff.
  • No COVID protocol. Staff was not wearing masks nor did they enforce patrons to. However, the hotel restaurant was closed due to "COVID", which seemed contradictory.
  • Question regarding the cleanliness of the room due to the two AC units being covered in dust & the dirty Keurig machine.
  • The outdoor pool was drained, likely closed for the winter season.
  • As an IHG Platinum member, I received no recognition of status.
  • The total price of $167.66 seemed expensive for the area. This hotel should be priced around $80 - $100 per night.

The Verdict

If I was in the area in the future, I would choose a different hotel. The staff was apathetic & rude, the room while spacious was not clean & the price was too high. One night was too long of a stay at the Hotel Indigo Harrisburg, PA.
