The Bottom Line
What We Loved
- The front desk staff was courteous & answered all our questions. Book a standard king room & were upgraded to a high-floor king bed corner. The front desk noted that all executive suites were occupied & not available for upgrades.
- Staff at the hotel restaurant were attentive & prompt. Tables were cleared quickly & all staff were correctly wearing masks.
- The room had automatic blinds that worked as expected.
- The hotel is located in a1 mile from Union Station. Visitors can take public transportation (#15 bus) which drops you off at the corner of the hotel.
- Awesome gym with the outdoor track.
- Indoor pool with balcony space.
What We Didn't Like
- For $19, breakfast buffet selections were limited: omelet station, fruit, yogurt, milk, cereal, breakfast meats & breads (croissants, danishes & muffins).
- The room had noticeable wear & tear with scuff marks on the wall; the telephone place card was falling off.
- The in-room coffee machine was off-brand, for the price point expected for an in-room Keurig.
- In the room, Chromecast was not working.
- The hotel is close to 16th street mall, which is a shell of its former self. Many stores are closed and the streets are littered with trash.
