The Bottom Line

What We Loved

  • Booked a 1 King Bed ($299 per night) and applied a Suite upgrade to a Luxury Loft Suite. Was further upgraded to a 1.5 Bedroom Suite at check-in. Good standard suite options, had a choice to use for the Lightwell or Deluxe Loft as well.
  • Friendly check-in & staff encounters were pleasant
  • Unique historical hotel
  • Prompt responses to text inquiries at 9 am & 11 pm PST.
  • Delicious in-room dining for breakfast. We tried a few items over the two days & everything was great.
  • Great water pressure,

What We Didn't Like

  • Small issues (burn stain on living room chair, discoloration on the sofa and floors, sticky substance on table, a light bulb in the bedroom was out, TVs are small for the wall unit they are on, no hangers in the hallway closet) keeps it from being a 5-star accommodation
  • Confusing light switches and inadequate lighting options for the space. Which there were some overhead lighting as the room (& halls) are dark after sunset.
  • The walls are bland, need more art. Did not love the unfinished ceilings with exposed sockets.
  • AC while off still makes sounds, only goes up to 75 degrees.
  • Can hear bar noise from our room at 9 pm at night, might be an issue during busier weekend times.
  • Limited breakfast menu, could become redundant after a few days.
  • Some of the living room furniture was uncomfortable. The desk chair was too hard for a day of meetings, switched to the bedroom ottoman.

The Verdict

We found the Fordson Hotel - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt Hotel Review in Oklahoma City, OK to be a good base for our travels. Its prime location & truly comfortable beds were definitely top-notch, making it easy to settle in. We appreciated the unique historical atmosphere & the friendly, responsive staff who handled inquiries quickly. While the in-room breakfast was delicious & exactly what we needed to start our day, we did notice some small maintenance issues in our suite, like a burn stain on a chair & a light out. The WiFi speed was also a clear weak link, & for the price, we felt the value for money could be better. If you're looking for a Fordson Hotel - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt Hotel Review with a distinct character & great service, it’s worth a visit when you’re in Oklahoma City.
