  • Great location in downtown Reno, overlooking the river

What We Didn't Like

  • The TSR burger is $2 cheaper at lunch than dinner, with nothing added to the meal.
  • Service, while good, is inconsistent

The Verdict

This is our go-to restaurant for breakfast/brunch when we want delicious French toast & chicken fried steak. We spent two nights in the attached hotel & ate 3 meals in the Shore Room.

The first night after check-in (4 pm), we headed downstairs to dinner. We were seated immediately outside, next to a nice, cozy fire. Dinner was divine: the chicken thighs ($23) were cooked perfectly & the sauce complimented the meal well. The calamari ($26) was different & the least favorite of the meal. We added prawns ($9) to the flat iron ( $28). While both were good, wished we were given more than 6 prawns.

The following morning around 11 am we went downstairs for lunch. While we were seated immediately the patio was packed & service was a bit slower than the night before. Similar to dinner, lunch was delicious. The soup ($4) was a bit small yet tasty. The Shore Room (TSR) Burger ($16) was delicious with crispy, crunchy fries.

Our final meal was our go-to breakfast: french toast ($14) with a side of eggs ($3) & bacon ($4) along with chicken fried steak ($21).

A delicious end to a delicious trio of meals at The Shore Room. Definitely, a great place to eat in Reno.
