Great
Food & Drink We Tried

HH Crab Croquette ($7)
Nice breading & flavor but didn't taste much crab

HH Squash Blossom ($6)
Nicely breaded, wish the lemon ricotta had more punch

HH Crispy Seafood ($8)
Fresh, flavorful with an interesting side of crisps

HH Macintosh ($9)
Wasn't mixed well, tasted ice water & had to stir to get flavors

HH Hibiscus Kiss ($9)
Delicious, lightly sweet, no notes

HH Pisco Apparatchik ($9)
The jalapeno syrup is not as prominent as I would have liked

HH Her ($9)

Poulet Roti ($35)
Crispy, nicely seasoned with a flavorful wine reduction sauce

HH First Ladies Club ($9)
The beet is the prominent flavor, if you don't like beet, skip.
Helpful Tip
It's great for happy hour. Go early when it is less crowded.
The Bottom Line
What We Loved
- Great happy hour prices: we were able to try all but 1 of the drinks at $9 each.
- Our server, Young, was very attentive and provided a full overview of the menu.
- After dinner, we were admiring the Jackie clippings, and the Maitre d ' came by and asked if we wanted to see the back room. He took us to the back to view the mural and the conference space.
What We Didn't Like
- Value: Happy hour prices are reasonable, however normal prices are a bit high for the portion sizes.
The Verdict
Jackie DC is a solid happy hour spot in Navy Yard. At $9 cocktails we were able to work through almost the entire drink menu without breaking the bank — major win. Server Young kept it attentive and informative. The Maître d' even took us to the back room to see the Jackie mural, which was a cool touch. Food presentation was on point, though normal menu prices are a bit steep for the portion sizes. We'd come back… but only if we're in the area.
