The Bottom Line

What We Loved

  • Clear sightlines, even from higher or corner sections—this arena was designed with fan experience in mind.
  • High energy, loud crowd, and a fun in-game atmosphere—likely one of the most engaging stops so far.
  • Getting to and from the arena was relatively easy, possibly with reliable public transit or ride-share options.
  • Above-average seats with decent space and support.

What We Didn't Like

  • The food scene felt underwhelming—maybe too few vendors, long lines, or not enough unique/local options.

The Verdict

We rolled into Salt Lake City for a weightlifting competition, but couldn’t leave without hitting the Delta Center—which many still know as Vivint Arena. Built strictly for basketball, the seating bowl is incredibly steep, putting you right on top of the action and trapping raw acoustic energy. However, those steep stairs are a legit leg workout, and the upper concourses feel tight. The food is standard and lacks localized flair. The downtown location is also super walkable. It lacks modern sprawl, but the intimate sightlines and loud throwback vibe make it well worth a stop.
