Pro Tip

No tip provided

What We Loved
  • Jumbotron is large & shows played photo & stats.
  • Seat is comfortable, with cup holder. Although arm rest is immovable.
  • It was easy to get to the arena from the Metro Center, lots of train availability and a easy 10-minute walk.
What We Didn't Like
  • No down escalators 30 minutes before tip off.
  • No activities in the arena prior to tip off.
  • Our section was right under the AC. Comfortable with winter jacket on, wish it was a bit warmer during the snow.
  • The men's bathroom was empty & needed to be cleaned.
  • Food at the arena was overpriced: $28 for a Moscow Mule, $2 for a cheese cup and $7.50 for a Smart Water. We ate at Astro Doughnuts prior to the game so did not eat any food at the arena.
  • Many of the stores and shops were closed, which was strange for a home team game.
The Verdict

When the NBA schedule came out, I knew I wanted to see a game on our anniversary. Rockets at Wizards was one of four games happening on the Monday night, and it was the only arena we had yet to visit.

Centrally located, the venue impresses with soaring ceilings and wide hallways that make maneuvering easy. The comfort is top-tier: plush seats, a massive Jumbotron, and a stellar dance team. However, the vibe was a "skeleton game." It wasn't the loudest celebration, but another milestone is officially in the books.
