The Bottom Line

What We Loved

  • It was fan appreciation night and there were tons of activities from painting and balloon animals to giveaways including a free replica arena, photo ops and custom hat decorations.
  • Seats are spacious with a cup holder.
  • Food options were good, we got loaded nachos ($18) and it was a good sharing portion.
  • Great vibes, engaged fans
  • Audio is great & jumbotron has tons of information
  • No issues entering the arena with my Lululemon 2L belt bag.

What We Didn't Like

  • The arena entrance is to small to accommodate all the attendees. There is a significant bottleneck along with lack of air flow resulting in a rather warm start.
  • No closed captioning, an accessibility issue
  • The arena's walkways were narrow, making it difficult to move around.

The Verdict

Our view & spacious seats at the American Airlines Center were top-notch. The loaded carne asada nachos were exactly what we needed, a hot & hearty sharing portion. However, navigation within the arena was a clear weak link; narrow walkways created bottlenecks. Still, the fan energy in Dallas, TX, was great. Worth the visit if you're in town.
